PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing plate processing apparatus excellent in image reproducibility without inducing process irregularity even when a photosensitive planographic printing plate is processed. SOLUTION: The processing apparatus for processing a planographic printing original plate, the apparatus having at least consecutively a developing process and a rinsing process, is equipped with a pair of rollers to introduce a planographic printing original plate into a developing process tank while immersing the plate in a developing liquid. The apparatus is configured in such a manner that the developing liquid surface with respect to the pair of rollers is above the roller nip point and that a circulating means P1 is disposed which circulates the developing liquid in a space formed by the pair of rollers and the planographic printing original plate during processing the planographic printing original plate.
