PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a supply side notch and a return side notch separately. SOLUTION: In a direction control valve, a first annular groove B corresponding to a first actuator port (ap) is divided into a first recess part 18 and a second recess part 19 with a division land part 17 as a border. The supply side notch 23 functioning to circulation from a supply passage 8 to a first branch passage 20 is formed in the boarder land part 17. Also, the return side notch 25 functioning to circulation from a second branch passage 21 to a tank passage 9 is formed in a division land part 15 dividing the second recess part 19 and a third annular groove 14.
