PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking support apparatus which allows a driver to stop a vehicle in a proper position, which is a position to start parking, according to a parking direction when parking the vehicle, or allows the driver to easily determine which parking section is the best for efficient parking in positional relation with the current position of stoppage. SOLUTION: A user specifies a parking direction, such as a parallel direction, when parking. A controller 50 calculates a possible parking range corresponding to the parking direction specified by the user, and displays the calculated parking range by superposing the range on an image displaying a view around a vehicle.
