PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side guard capable of securing compressing state of a squeeze against a screen and surely preventing a paste from flowing out and oozing out. SOLUTION: The side guard 1 for screen printing comprises the squeeze 2 sliding in a certain direction on the screen, arranged in a printing device printing the paste supplied on the screen onto the surface of the matter to be printed through the pattern holes of the screen, and prevents the paste from flowing out from both sides in the moving direction of the squeeze 2. The side guard 1 comprises a flowing blocking portions 20 with erected wall shape whose lower surface abuts on the screen, side holders 21 secured to both the side end faces of the squeeze holders 3 and slidably supporting the flowing blocking portions 20 between projecting positions where the flowing blocking portions 20 project under the squeeze 2 and retracting positions where the flowing blocking portions 20 are retracted above the lower ends of the squeeze 2, and biasing means biasing the flowing blocking portions 20 toward projecting position sides.
