The exhaust gas heat recovery system uses the heat from the exhaust gas (1b) of the boiler (1), and transferring the heat to water inside the exhaust pipe (90), with a condensate going out downwards through the exhaust pipe. The heat transfer from the exhaust gas to the cooling water is effected through a capillary tube mat fitted or screw into the exhaust pipe, with its capillary tubes coming out into collector tubes (S1, S2).
