<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a (meth)acrylate copolymer with a high refractive index, exhibiting the flexibility required for bending and also the transparency capable of preventing the development of glistening when being molded to a lens shape. <P>SOLUTION: The (meth)acrylate copolymer is obtained by copolymerizing a mixture containing (A) a (meth)acrylate monomer represented by formula (I) (wherein, R<SB>1</SB>is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; R<SB>2</SB>is a single bond or a 1-6C straight- or branched-chain alkylene group; Y is a single bond or an oxygen atom; and one of R<SB>3</SB>-R<SB>5</SB>is a phenyl group and the remainder are hydrogen atoms), (B) a monomer copolymerizable with a terminal double bond of the monomer (A) and (C) a crosslinkable monomer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
