<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-unit device capable of monitoring mounting states of circuit units by a simpler constitution. <P>SOLUTION: The multi-unit device mounted with a plurality of circuit units comprises one monitoring signal line ML supplying a first clock CLK1 from a first circuit unit CU1 to a second circuit unit CU2. The second circuit unit includes a monitoring module MONI pulling up the monitoring signal line to a predetermined power source and monitoring the first clock in the monitoring signal line. The monitoring module in the second circuit can determine a mounting state in the detection of the first clock from the first circuit unit, a non-mounting state or monitoring a signal line short-circuit state in the detection of a power source level, and a ground short-circuit state in the detection of a ground level. Thus, the mounting state of the first circuit unit CU1 that is a monitoring object can be discriminated from the short-circuit state of the monitoring signal line. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
