PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a database text output system for outputting information acquired from a database in an output contents and layout based on a model. SOLUTION: A server 101 is provided with a merchandise information database 301 for storing merchandise information 310 constituted of items and a model 322 is stored in a merchandise information database 301. In response to a text output request from a client terminal 103, one or more merchandise information records 12 acquired from the merchandise information database 301 is text-outputted to at least one output file 330 for each of the designated number of output records according to layout description by replacing output item descriptions surrounding an item name 71 by <% and %> with an item value 73 corresponding to an item name 71 in a merchandise information record 12 based on the designated model 322.
