PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a design assist device producing a simulation model in a system design to assist the design. SOLUTION: This design assist device has: at least one functional module constituting a system; a block diagram editing control part 201 displaying a bus connecting the functional module by a symbol on a screen, and performing editing; an abstraction degree selection control part 202 determining an abstraction degree of the simulation model to each function module constituting the system according to a purpose of simulation of the system including the functional module; and a bus structure determination part 216 executing the simulation of the edited system according to the purpose and the abstraction degree, and determining a structure of the bus on the basis of a simulation result thereof.
