PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a back light controller capable of suppressing noise of a source voltage and voltage variation due to a turn-on or a turn-off of a light source while providing optional luminance level. SOLUTION: The back light controller 3 adjusts the luminance of a back light 2 by controlling the number of light emitting elements illuminating for each clock in one cycle and the frequency of illumination of each light emitting element per cycle.
