PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium conveying device and a recording device equipped with the medium conveying device capable of preventing the skew of a recorded medium by pressing the recorded medium in a well-balanced manner by a rotating roller of a carrier driven roller in a small printer. SOLUTION: The medium conveying device is used in the recording device 1 intended for the recorded medium P of postcard size or smaller which passes through the center of a carrier roller 12 when conveyed for recording. The carrier roller 12 is composed of a carrier driving roller 10 and a carrier driven roller 11. The carrier driven roller is provided with roller elements 27 to a single supporting shaft 25. The roller elements 27 are arranged in lateral symmetry viewed from the center of the supporting shaft 25.
