VITRIFIED SUPER-ABRASIVE WORKING TOOL AND MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abrasive working tool and its manufacturing method having abrasion resistance and flexural strength and containing a vitreous bonding agent. SOLUTION: The abrasive working tool contains a super-abrasive component; a filler component containing a hollow body; and the vitreous bonding agent. The vitreous bonding agent component contains zinc oxide and at least two kinds of alkali metal oxides. In the method for manufacturing the abrasive working tool, the super-abrasive component; the filler component containing the hollow body; and the vitreous bonding agent component containing zinc oxide and at least two kinds of alkali metal oxides are mixed and preferably calcinated at a temperature in a range of about 600-850°C in an atmosphere.
