<p>A lock device (31) fixing the boom (16) of an excavating apparatus (3) to a machine side enabling an increase in durability by operating the operation members of the boom lock device at no-contact to prevent the laterally rotating parts of a boom bracket from being worn. The boom (16) comprises a lock pin (32), and the boom bracket (15) on the machine side comprises a lock arm (33). The lock arm (33) is connected to a lock operation mechanism (34) so as to be unlockable from a steering part (4). The operation mechanism (34) comprises a rotation side operation part (34b) supported on the boom bracket (15) and having one end connected to the lock arm (33) and a fixed side operation part (34a) supported on the machine and having one end connected to an operation pedal (45). The other end of the rotation side operation part (34b) and the other end of the fixed side operation part (34a) are disposed above the laterally rotating pivot pin (27) of the boom bracket (15) and these operation parts are disposed overlappingly with each other in plan view without bringing them into contact with each other.</p>
