A multi-carrier signal receiver and a multi-carrier signal receiving method capable of realizing increase in maximum throughput even when variation in propagation path is quick by determining the noise power accurately and performing appropriate weighting. The multi-carrier signal receiver is characterized by comprising a propagation path estimating section for calculating a propagation path estimation value from a received signal and a reference signal by using a pilot channel and a noise power estimating section for calculating a noise power estimation value from the propagation path estimation value calculated at the propagation path estimating section, a received signal and a reference signal included in a small time interval.
