<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording medium which is of excellent quality without print density deterioration and is almost free from a planar defect, and a method for manufacturing the inkjet recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: In this method for manufacturing the inkjet recording medium, a coating liquid containing an inorganic fine particle, a water-soluble resin and a crosslinking agent and a coating liquid containing at least one kind of a water-soluble polyvalent metallic salt, are simultaneously applied to the surface of a support in a laminar fashion and thus an ink receptive layer is formed.
