<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an activated carbon structure exhibiting high throughput, the repeated use of which causes little deterioration in mechanical strength of an adsorbent and its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: The activated carbon 10a (the activated carbon structure) for the adsorption of a volatile organic compound are manufactured by carrying out injection molding of a mixed material consisting of an activated carbon powder and an inorganic binder into a cylindrical shape and firing the resultant molded article. The inner face of the cylinder consisting of the activated carbon 10a for the adsorption of a volatile organic compound is effectively used as the adsorption surface. When an adsorbing apparatus is filled with the activated carbon 10a for the adsorption of the volatile organic compound, the overlapping degree between pieces of the activated carbon 10a for the adsorption of the volatile organic compound is small. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
