<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exposure light emitting device which emits exposure light from light emitting elements of a light emitting array formed of the plurality of light emitting elements arranged in a main scanning direction, wherein the exposure light emitting device contributes to improvement of the light emitting efficiency of the light emitting elements, to extension of the life of the same, and to simplification of a circuit for controlling light emission of the light emitting elements. <P>SOLUTION: According to the exposure light emitting device, in a low resolution mode, a control section 422 of the exposure light emitting device 42 controls emission of exposure light from an LED arrayed in an LED array 421 such that a value Tb (indicative of a time interval of emission of the LED for pattern formation of one dot) is larger than a value Ta (indicative of a time period from starting of the pattern formation of the one dot till first emission of exposure light from the LED), and a value Tc (indicative of a time period from last emission of exposure light from the LED for the pattern formation of the one dot till completion of the pattern formation of the one dot). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
