PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein a user must intentionally carry out an operation for displaying the signals as an object of recording so as to stop a recording operation, ascertaining the contents of the image signals as an object of recording in a case where image signals different from the image signals which are an object of recording are displayed when a recording operation is carried out in a recording/displaying device into which two or more image signals can be input. SOLUTION: Input terminal information on image signals which become an object of recording when a recording operation is started is stored in the RAM 143 of a micro controller 13, and the micro controller 13 controls an input switching circuit 11 so as to send the image signals as an object of recording to a display circuit 17 when signals that are currently displayed are different from the signals as an object of recording in a case where a recording stop instruction is issued from a user I/F circuit 12.
