PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gateway apparatus wherein the transfer processing time of data is decreased. SOLUTION: The gateway apparatus provided between a plurality of buses and transferring data between the buses by each fundamental period is characterized in to include a first storage means for storing the data received from the bus; a second storage means for storing the data to transfer the data to the bus; and a control means for carrying out a transmission set processing of the data stored, in the first storage means to the second storage means by each fundamental period, wherein an upper limit is placed on the number of the data subjected to the transmission set processing by each fundamental period and the control means applies the transmission set processing to the number of data within the upper limit.
