PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication method or the like for detecting that automobiles or the like in the same group approach a distance for allowing them to mutually execute direct communication with a group of a plurality of the automobiles or the like as a unit. SOLUTION: Each mobile communication device in a plurality of mobile communication devices (102) transmits authentication information corresponding to itself to a server device. The server device (101) makes each of identification information included in the authentication information relate to one group. Each mobile communication device transmits positional information to the server device. When detecting that at least one distance in all of the distances between the respective mobile communication devices is in a close state shorter than a prescribed value on the basis of the positional information of each mobile communication device corresponding to a plurality of the identification information related to the same group, the server device transmits notification information that the direct communication can be executed to the mobile communication devices in the close state. A plurality of the mobile communication devices which receive the notification information that the direct communication can be executed mutually transmit and receive the positional information.
