PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and quickly diagnose the degree of deterioration in a heat insulator subjected to heat insulation. SOLUTION: In a method for diagnosing deterioration of the heat insulator, the degree of deterioration in the heat insulator 2 treated with the heat insulation is diagnosed. In this case, a temperature indicating section 6 where a display color is changed at specific temperature is provided on the external exposed surface of a member 2 for heat insulation, when the heat insulation is executed in advance. Based on the change in the display color at the temperature indication section, the degree of deterioration is diagnosed in the heat insulator treated with the heat insulation.
