PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which needs no crucible in melting low-melting lead-free frit and a colorant and therefore makes it possible to facilitate the mass production of a lead-free water color, to obtain a homogeneous water color regardless of the skill of a worker, to attain good profitability, and to obtain a deep water color by heightening the mixing ratio of a colorant. SOLUTION: Low-melting lead-free frit and a colorant powder are mixed, the mixed powder is press-molded, the molding is molten and then cooled, and the obtained solid is powdered by grinding to obtain a lead-free water color.
