PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening section device which produces a sense of unity with a building wall, and gives a simple and open impression to a peripheral portion of a face plate such as a glass panel, because only one of a frame and a frame member is visible when viewed from inside a room, or only the other one of the frame and the frame member is visible when viewed from outside the room. SOLUTION: The opening section device is formed of the frame member (10) arranged along a peripheral edge of a building opening section, and a sliding door (20) arranged in the frame member, and in a sliding door-closed position, either one of the frame (22) and the frame member of the sliding door is concealed by the other one of the frame and the frame member of the sliding door when viewed from the front in the room. In addition, or alternatively, the opening section device is formed of the frame member arranged along the peripheral edge of the building opening section, and the sliding door arranged in the frame member, and in the sliding door-closed position, either one of the frame and the frame member is concealed by the other one of the frame and the frame member when viewed from the front out of the room.
