PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of restricting collision of a sheet with a tip part and improving sheet conveying efficiency without adding a special part nor hindering miniaturization over the whole of the device, and to provide a sheet conveying method and a sheet conveying program. SOLUTION: The image forming device has a drive control unit 10 for controlling a conveying roller for leading the sheet to a reverse conveying path for switch-back conveyance and a sheet information obtaining unit 102 for obtaining information related to size of the sheet in the conveying direction about the sheet to be conveyed by switch-back. The drive control unit 101 controls the conveying roller so that conveying speed of the only predetermined size sheet is lower than that of other sheets having a size smaller than the predetermined size on the basis of the information related to size of the sheet in the conveying direction, which is obtained by the sheet information obtaining unit 102.
