New copolymer, obtained by polymerizing olefin monomers, useful as an additive in fuel oil and lubricant

Copolymer (A), obtained by polymerizing olefin monomers (M), is new. Copolymer (A) obtained by polymerizing olefin monomers (M) of formulae ((R1>-C=) (M1); (R2>)(R3>)C=C(R4>)(R5>) (M2); and (R7>)(R6>)C=C(R8>)(R9>) (M3)), is new. R1>H or 1-40C-hydrocarbyl; R2>-R5>H, 1-40C-hydrocarbyl, COOR1>0> or OCOR1>0> (where at least one of R2>-R5 is COOR1>0> or OCOR1>0>); R6>-R8>H or 1-4C-alkyl; R9>aryl; and R1>0>1-40C-hydrocarbyl. Independent claims are included for: (1) a fuel oil composition comprising a larger amount of a distillate fuel with a boiling point of 120-500[deg]C and smaller amount of at least a copolymer; (2) a lubricant composition comprising a larger amount of a conventional lubricant and smaller amount of at least a copolymer; and (3) an additive package comprising at least a copolymer in combination with at least a conventional grease additive or a fuel oil additive.
