<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further surely display a parallax image suitable with respect to the position of a viewer. <P>SOLUTION: The stereoscopic image display device has an image display means 1, which displays the parallax image comprising a right-eye image and a left-eye image, and a parallax image selection means 2 for making only the image light of the right-eye image in the parallax image reach the right eye of the viewer and for making only image light of the left-eye image in the parallax image reach the left eye of the viewer. The device is also provided with an imaging means 23, which is attached to the viewer and images the parallax image on the display face; a calculation means for calculating the position of the viewer, on the basis of the imaging results of the image pickup means; and a coordinate conversion means for executing coordinate conversion to the parallax image, on the basis of the calculation results of the calculation means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
