PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of reducing the number of components of an electric component box, improving assembling workability by simplifying its assembling, and reducing bad influence on costs. SOLUTION: The electric component box 10 is composed of a substrate base 15 composed of a resin molding mounted along a side portion of an indoor main body 1, a sub-base 16 mounted on a front side of the indoor unit main body and provided with a connector terminal K or the like, and a component cover 17 mounted along a side portion of a heat exchanger 6 and composed of a metallic plate body, and further comprises claw portions 22, 30 and engagement portions 24, 28 respectively mounted on side portions B, A opposite to each other, of the substrate base and the sub-base, and temporarily rotatably fixing the side portions of the substrate base and the sub-base by being engaged with each other, and a locking claw portion 26 and an engagement groove portion 32 formed on the other side portions kept into contact with each other, of the substrate base and the sub-base, for locking the claw portions and the engagement portions, locking the sub-base and the substrate base to each other in a rotated state, and assembling and retaining the other side portions of the substrate base and the sub-base to each other.
