<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply control circuit and a power saving control method therefor capable of efficiently suppressing power consumption in a power saving mode while considering a limit current of a LVPS. <P>SOLUTION: In shifting an image forming device 10 to a power saving mode, an intermittent oscillation control signal ON is delivered from a power supply control circuit 30 to the LVPS40 when the power consumption of a controller section 20 drops sufficiently, thus shifting the LVPS40 to a normal oscillation mode.
