<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform quick and proper fixing processing by avoiding interruption of fixing processing due to temperature abnormality of a heating member by a simple configuration when using a plurality of kinds of recording papers to perform continuous print. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes; an image information storage means wherein image data for output and output setting data for designating its output form are successively stored with a prescribed output order determined per processing unit; a fixing means for performing fixing processing by successively bringing the heating member into press contact with recording papers having toner images formed thereon; a temperature detection means for detecting a temperature of the heating member; a fixing control means for interrupting the fixing processing in the case that the temperature detected by the temperature detection means doesn't meet a predetermined set condition; and an output processing control means which estimates the temperature of the heating member at the time of completion of output processing of each processing unit, on the basis of output setting data when performing output processing and changes the output order in order to avoid interruption of the fixing processing in the case that the estimated temperature doesn't meet the set condition. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
