<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of normally executing image formation by calculating the control time of an optimum driving device even when the operation of a device for driving a cleaning member for cleaning dust-proofing glass or a friction coefficient between the dust-proofing glass and the cleaning member is changed. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus comprises: a writing unit in which the dust-proofing glass is arranged; the cleaning member for cleaning the surface of the dust-proofing glass; a driving part for driving the cleaning member; a control part for controlling the operation of respective parts, and a sensor for detecting the position of the cleaning member. The control part measures a change in the operation speed of the driving part from the positional information of the cleaning member which is detected by the sensor and dynamically controls and determines the operation time of the driving means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
