<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of maintaining and improving the developing performance. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: an image forming means including a developing apparatus for developing an electrostatic latent image formed on an image carrier, for forming an image, based on input information from a user; and a paper feeding means for feeding a used transfer material, one side of which the image is formed, to the image forming means. Except the time of a normal image forming operation of forming an image based on the input information from the user, and also, when prescribed conditions are satisfied, the aforesaid material is fed by the paper feeding means, and the image forming apparatus includes a means for performing a processing other than the image forming processing performed, based on the user information on the used transfer material surface with the image formed, and the condition of a developing bias to be applied on a developer carrier which is included in the developing apparatus so as to hold and carry the developer is varied between the case of performing the processing other than the normal image forming processing on the used transfer material surface with the image formed and the case of performing the normal image forming processing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
