PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching-type electric power unit, capable of reducing consumed current of the switching type electric power unit itself during a standby mode, reducing the current consumed (outflow current) from the source of power supply voltage during the standby mode, as well, as supplying a constant voltage not affected by voltage level of the source of power supply voltage during normal operating mode to loads. SOLUTION: A booster-type DC/DC converter 5 and a booster DC/DC converter 4 are provided, and during a stand-by mode, the booster-type DC/DC converter 5 feeds power supply output voltage that is not smaller than a second set voltage that is lower than a first set voltage, to a microcomputer (load) 1 with current supply capability smaller than that during normal operating mode to loads. During normal operating mode, however, the buck-boost type DC/DC converter 4 feeds a first set voltage during normal operating mode to the microcomputer 1. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
