PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device by which high definition display is obtained by simple structure and which can be manufactured by simple processes. SOLUTION: In a liquid crystal display device (electrooptical device) of the present invention, a TFD element (nonlinear element) 16 including a first electrode 111 and an element insulating film 112, first wiring 13, an interlayer insulting film 115 formed on the first wiring 13 and second wiring 14 formed on the interlayer insulating film 115 are provided on a substrate, the TFD element 16 is provided in an element part through hole (a first opening) 115c provided to the interlayer insulating film 115, a part of the second wiring 14 is extended in the element part through hole 115c, comes into contact with the element insulating film 112 on the first electrode 111 and forms a second electrode of the TFD element 16 in the element part through hole 115c.
