PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communications apparatus in multi-hop connection to the base station, preventing increase in power consumption, suppressing unwanted interference, recognizing the existence of a communication apparatus capable of relaying for the connection to the base station, and connecting to the base station via the communications apparatus recognized. SOLUTION: The communication apparatus includes a first receiving means for receiving only a predetermined slot among control signals, constituted of a plurality of time slots transmitted from a first control channel, a relay means for relaying via the self-apparatus the predetermined slot information of a first control signal to a communication apparatus connected to the base station, a transmission means for transmitting a signal on a second control channel, and at the time of receiving in the first receiving means, a second receiving means for receiving a second control channel.
