PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk capable of accurately reading control data recorded in the optical disk even when scratches or black dots are present on the optical disk. SOLUTION: A lead-in area 103 disposed in a ROM disk 100 has two control information areas 106A and 106B. Each control information 110 recorded in each control information area 106 contains an error correction code block (control information 110n) indicating the same contents of 192. The control information area 106A having reproduction control information recorded therein is disposed separately from the other control information area 106B more than the radial-direction width of a largest black dot.
