PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processor and a control method thereof in which newly recorded voice data is reproduced first when reproducing the newly recorded voice data for the first time, but the voice data can be reproduced in arbitrary order in regular reproduction. SOLUTION: When reproducing data stored in a storage part in the data processor which is provided with the storage part for storing data and reproduces the data stored in the storage part, if new unreproduced data is stored in the storage part, the new data is reproduced first.
