PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably reduce the load on the feed motor by preventing the FPC from twisting when mounted, and to allow the feed motor to easily move the optical pickup radially even when the motor is miniaturized. SOLUTION: This drive has: a base 1; a circuit board 7 having a connector 11; a terminal 10a electrically connected with the connector 11; an optical pickup 8 having a FPC 10 with its flexible section 10b attached between the terminal 10a and the optical pickup main 8; and a transfer mechanism coupling the optical pickup 8 such that it moves freely in the radial direction on the optical disk.
