IMAGE DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM AND IMAGE DISTRIBUTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image distribution system capable of sufficiently coping with various requirements of a plurality of clients connected to a transmission line such as the Internet and sufficiently coping with access from terminals with different functions. SOLUTION: The system has an image signal input section; an encoder section for converting an image signal from the image signal input section into digital image compressed data; an image accumulating distribution device having a function of accumulating digital image compressed data from the encoder section and distributing it; a notifying device for reading accumulated images of the image accumulating distribution device and detecting the change of images; an image browsing data converter for making accumulated images of the image accumulating distribution device into reduced images; and an information terminal device accessing the images of the image accumulating distribution device and the image browsing data conversion device. The notifying device records occurrence time information of an image change when detecting the change of the image, and the information terminal device acquires the image of either one of the image accumulating distribution device and image browsing data converter based on the occurrence time information accumulated in the notifying device.
