PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for more accurately analyzing a chrysotile contained in a serpentine sample. SOLUTION: In the analysis method, the amount of dehydration of the chrysotile in the thermogravimetry of the serpentine sample is measured from a thermogravimetric curve or a differential thermogravimetric curve obtained by performing the thermogravimetry to the serpentine sample and a standard loaded sample, where a standard chrysotile is loaded into the serpentine sample, under the same conditions each, or a differential thermogravimetric curve.
