PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording device which efficiently eliminates solvent which remains on a medium and inhibits the generation of cockling. SOLUTION: In the image recording device, a solvent quantity threshold value 200 and a penetration time threshold value 202 on a medium are decided according to the kind of a medium. Since cockling occurs onto a medium when the solvent quantity per unit area on a medium (ink volume and processing liquid volume) exceeds the solvent quantity threshold value and the time to reach the solvent elimination exceeds the penetration time threshold value 202 (when fulfilling conditions 4), the conveyance speed of a medium is controlled to be increased so that the solvent elimination is performed within a predetermined time (not longer time than penetration time threshold value 202). Moreover, when conveyance speed cannot be altered, the delivery controlling may be performed so that the ink volume and processing liquid volume (the amount of a solvent) which are ejected on a medium is reduced and the amount of a solvent per unit area may become not more than the solvent quantity threshold value 200.
