PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the image quality of an entire image from being deteriorated while keeping the contrast of a medium tone part and to easily correct the contrast even with respect to the image of any scene. SOLUTION: The image processing unit is provided with a luminance component calculation section 5 for generating luminance data Y1 by each pixel on the basis of image data in different colors of each pixel configuring an image recorded on a photo film and with a contrast correction section 7 for revising only the luminance data Y1 belonging to a low luminance part and a high luminance part and generating luminance data Y2 together with the luminance data Y1 of a medium tone part. The contrast correction section 7 changes the luminance data Y1 of the low luminance part to be greater than those before the change and changes the luminance data Y1 of the high luminance part to be smaller than those before the change. |
