The system has a headend (1) communicating with acquisition modules (4) through a half duplex bidirectional communication path (2). The headend transmits an acquisition command that is synchronized by a clock signal of the headend, on the path. The modules transmit acquisition data one after another based on preset order and without being addressed by the headend, on the path.
