A circuit arrangement for indicating the status of one of a plurality of switches connected in series between signal terminals of a safety relay, each switch having an open position and a closed position and being actuable to bring the switch from one of said positions into the other one, said circuit arrangement comprising at least one voltage sensor being connectable to one of said switches for providing an output signal upon sensing a presence of a voltage across said switch, and an indicating means associated with said voltage sensor for providing an indication signal when the voltage sensor provides an output signal, wherein said circuit arrangement is powered by a voltage that is provided at predetermined ones of said signal terminals of the safety relay.
