<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a stopper piston for fixing a vane from jumping out at the time except at the stoppage of an engine by a valve timming control mechanism of a vane type. SOLUTION: When a relative rotational angle VT to an objective relative rotational angle VTT between a vane rotor and a the housing is changed and a delay angle movement flag is ON (time t1) while an advance movement flag is ON (time t0), a moving direction change time control flag is ON. Then, a moving direction change time control counter starts counting-up and keep learning duty value is output until the time (time: t1-t2) when a specified valueαis attempted. Accordingly, hydraulic pressure is always applied to a stopper piston of a valve timming control mechanism except at the time of stoppage of an engine, thereby preventing the jumping out thereof, resulting in production of no abnormal noise and increase in wear and further production of no wear resistance to the moving direction.</p> |
