The device (100) has a light source (122) for through investigation of the line (24) in transmitted light method and a sensor (114) for partial recording of brightness caused in the line by the light source. An evaluator is provided for the recognition of the presence of isolated inclusions (130) in the line by means of the recorded brightness. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) Method for recognition of isolated inclusions in continuously conveyed line of tobacco processing industry; and (B) Line machine.
