PURPOSE: A lithium rechargeable battery having collective body and plate film comprised of foam metal and slurry of active materials is disclosed to improve the connection and reduce the interfacial resistance between the collective body and the active materials. CONSTITUTION: A lithium rechargeable battery comprises an anode plate composed of anode active material and anode collective body, a cathode plate composed of cathode active material and cathode collective body and a separator interposed between both of the plates. Both of the plates have voids filled with the anode or cathode active materials in slurry state, respectively, by passing the collective bodies made of foam metal material through the active materials. By the lithium rechargeable battery, it is possible to accomplish the improvements of increasing the connection and reducing the interfacial resistance between the collective body and the active materials to result in higher rate capability of the battery. |
