A displaying apparatus ( 10 ) is configured such that illumination light emitted from light sources ( 15, 15 . . . ) disposed on a back side of a liquid crystal displaying plate ( 11 ) illuminates an optically transparent displaying section ( 16 a) of a dial plate ( 16 ) provided on a front side of the liquid crystal displaying plate ( 11 ) by passing through the liquid crystal displaying plate ( 11 ). Further, polarizing plates ( 13, 14 ) overlapping the optically transparent displaying section ( 16 a) are cut out from the liquid crystal displaying plate, whereby the illumination light may illuminate the optically transparent displaying section ( 16 a), passing through a liquid crystal displaying plate ( 111 ).
