The sea water desalination technique comprises electricity generation and heating for e.g. reverse osmosis, comprises electricity generation and heating for e.g. reverse osmosis, utilizing the energy of the steam from a boiler, with application of sulfur and lime during the steam generation. Also claimed is apparatus implementing the process. CLAIMED APPARATUS - The apparatus has a desalinated water pipe extending to the shore from the desalinator mounted on a barge anchored at sea. It also yields brine as a by-product.
