The tile has a support plate (3) and at least one decorative plate (2). The support plate is connected by foam or adhesive onto the decorative plate and is recessed or protrudes on at least one side behind the outline of the decorative plate. Either the support plate protrudes or is recessed on the opposite side by the same amount or the support plate is recessed or protrudes on the opposite side behind the contour of the decorative plate whereby the empty space thereby formed is filled with a connecting strip. A flat heating element (5) such as an electric heating mat is provided between the decorative plate and the support plate.
