METHOD FOR TREATING MALIGNANCIES OF LARGE BOWEL COMPLICATED BY PROFUSE BLEEDING

The method for treating the malignancies of the large bowel complicated by the profuse bleeding comprises the superselective insertion of the catheterfollowed by the intra-arterial chemotherapy. The catheter is inserted into the internal iliac artery downstream the origin of the superior gluteal artery. The second catheter is inserted approaching maximally the bleeding vessel until its occlusion followed by intra-arterial hemostatic therapy and the administration of vasoconstrictors.
